Who is Level A for?

Level A is designed for young children who are beginning their reading journey—typically ages 3–6.

It may be a good fit if your child:

is beginning to recognize letters and show interest in reading
is still learning letter names and sounds
needs plenty of repetition and practice
learns best through hands-on, multisensory activities
is ready to begin connecting sounds to letters
needs a gentle approach that doesn't rush through foundational skills

You don't have to rush your child through reading. Level A gives you the structure and repetition you need to build a strong foundation while allowing you to adjust the pace to your child's needs.

What will your child learn?

Level A builds the foundational skills your child needs to become a skilled reader and writer.

The Alphabetic Principle

Identify uppercase and lowercase letters.
Learn the sequence of the alphabet.
Recognize letters in varied fonts.

Phonological Awareness (awareness of sounds in language)

Identify rhyming words.
Blend sounds orally.

Phonics

Learn the most common sound for each alphabet letter.
Blend onset and rime to read one-syllable C-V-C words.
Blend individual phonemes to read one-syllable C-V-C words.

Handwriting

Write uppercase and lowercase letters in boxes.
Practice writing one-syllable words.

Reading Comprehension

Listen to stories read aloud (books/stories not included).
Discuss key events through oral narrations.

Learning Skills

Fine-motor skills (cutting, pasting, etc.).
Gross-motor skills (hopping, skipping, etc.).

Why Level A works differently

Learning to read doesn't happen by simply memorizing the alphabet.

Level A intentionally gives children repeated opportunities to see, hear, say, move, trace, write, and use what they're learning.

Each lesson builds on what came before, helping your child make meaningful connections between: letters → sounds → words → handwriting → reading.

The repetition is intentional. The activities are varied. The lessons are short.
And the goal isn't simply to get through the alphabet—it's to build a foundation that lasts.
