Systematic and intentional
Skills are introduced in a carefully planned progression, with purposeful review and repetition so children have time to learn, practice, and retain what they're taught.
Reading + Writing Together
Reading doesn't happen in isolation. As children learn to read, they are also developing handwriting, spelling, comprehension, and written expression—helping them understand how all the pieces of literacy connect.

Whether your child is a typical beginning reader, needs additional practice, or struggles with reading, the goal is the same: Build strong skills. Grow confidence. Cultivate a love of learning.
Which level is right for my child?
Level A — Beginning Readers
Building the foundation for reading. . .
Level A introduces the alphabetic principle, letter sounds, beginning phonics, handwriting, and early reading of CVC words.
Approximate lesson time: 15-20 minutes a day
Level B — Early Readers
Building fluency and confidence. . .
Level B continues systematic phonics while developing reading fluency, comprehension, handwriting, and beginning spelling.
Approximate lesson time: 20–30 minutes a day
Level C — Developing Readers & Beginning Writers
Growing toward confident, independent reading and writing. . .
Level C builds on the foundation of Levels A and B with increasingly advanced reading, comprehension, handwriting, spelling, mechanics, written composition, and language skills.
Approximate lesson time: 30-45 minutes a day

Created by an Educator Who Understands Literacy
Nurturing Connections in Reading was created by Veronica Flores, a former middle school teacher, ELAR educational specialist, curriculum writer, and homeschool mom.
Throughout her career in education, Veronica worked with struggling readers, provided literacy support and professional development for K–12 educators, and helped develop curriculum used by thousands of students across more than 800 school districts in Texas.
When she began homeschooling her own children, she combined that professional experience with what she had learned about nurturing the whole child—creating a reading curriculum that brings together systematic literacy instruction, multisensory learning, thoughtful repetition, and meaningful connections between reading and writing.
The result is a curriculum designed to help you teach with confidence while enjoying the journey with your child.
