Welcome to Nurturing Connections Homeschool

Hello, New Friend!

Welcome to my site, a simple little space in the vast, busy world of homeschool blogs. Whether you’re new to homeschooling or just a bit overwhelmed by it all, I want you to feel right at home here.

Take a deep breath, Sweet Mama. You’re in a safe space.

If you've ever felt like you're the only one who doesn't have it all together and isn't "cool" because your homeschool isn't filled with glitter, crafts, and pretty overlays . . . welcome.

If you’ve ever jumped from curriculum to curriculum more times than you would like to admit . . . or if you’ve ever hoarded more curriculum than you could ever use . . . welcome.

If you’ve ever felt like you can’t keep up, aren’t doing enough, or are constantly falling behind. . . I'm raising my hand right here with you.

And if your house is a mess, and you’re struggling just to get through your homeschool day with little ones in tow, I hope you’ll be encouraged here.

These were all my personal struggles, and although I cannot promise that I have all the answers, I know the One who does, and it is my hope to point you to Him above all.

Because let’s be honest—it’s easy to lose sight of what is most important in the day-to-day grind. It’s easy to get caught up in educational philosophies, homeschool supplies and decor, curricula, and social media and miss the very point of it all.

Homeschooling is about so much more than curricula and crafts. It's more than checking off boxes and finishing workbooks. And the truth is--there are no "picture-perfect" homeschools. Those beautiful, curated feeds are inspiring, but don’t be fooled into thinking that they represent every moment of every day.

The truth is, homeschooling can be hard. It challenges you to grow in ways you didn’t even think possible. It’s messy and sometimes chaotic . . . and loud, and sometimes brings you to your knees.

But it is SO very worth it.

Why?

Because homeschooling gives you the unique opportunity to share LIFE with your children. It offers daily opportunities for training and discipling, educating and developing, cultivating and encouraging, upbringing and fostering. . . and nurturing your children.

It's an opportunity to create a sense of belonging and home . . . an opportunity to teach your children what truly matters most.

But it only works if you do it first. It only happens when YOU connect with what matters most.

So, how do we do this?

The Bible tells us that the beginning of wisdom is the fear of The Lord (Proverbs 9:10). It tells us to seek first the kingdom of God, and all these things will be added unto us (Matthew 6:33). It tells us to love our neighbors (ahem-husbands and children) as ourselves (Mark 12:31).

And so, we start there. We start with the “home” part, not the “school.”

To help you capture this vision, I put together the Masterclass: Nurturing Connections in Your Homeschool. It comes with a Homeschool Mom Bucket Planner (PDF) and is completely FREE for all members.

Simply click "Log In" on the top right corner of this page, and sign up to access our "Member Freebies."

Our free membership also allows you to comment on blog posts (please do!), access my printable library, along with other exclusive Masterclasses and newsletters. (And don't worry, I won't bombard your inbox or share your information---ever.)

My hope here at Nurturing Connections Homeschool is simply to encourage you to foster the connections you have with God, your family, and learning.
